Abstract Flower Motif No. 3

Materials
3 colors of worsted weight cotton yarn (I used Lily Sugar'n Cream in White, Yellow, Hot Green, and Mod Blue in various combinations for all the motifs.)
Size H (5mm) hook
(Of course you could try any other weight yarn and an appropriate hook!)

Size
5.25 inch diameter

Special Stitches
2 Double Crochet Cluster (2dc cluster): *yarn over, insert hook in space, yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, repeat from * once, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
Rice Stitch: ch 3, dc in top of previous sc. (Ch 3, yarn over, insert hook into front loop of sc and left most vertical bar under front loop of same single crochet, yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through last 2 loops, rice stitch complete.)

Directions (Written in US Crochet Terms)
With Color A
Rnd 1- In magic circle, ch 3, dc, ch 3, (2dc cluster, ch3) 5 times, sl st to first 
       dc, fasten off.
Rnd 2- Join Color B in any 2dc cluster stitch with a sc, ch 3, sc in next ch 3 
       space, ch 3, *(sc, ch 3) in next 2dc cluster stitch, (sc, ch 3) in next ch 3 
       space, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
Rnd 3- Join Color C to any ch 3 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 1, 
       (3 dc, ch 1) in next ch 3 space and in each ch 3 space around, sl st to 
       top of ch 3, fasten off.
Rnd 4- Join Color B in any ch 1 space with a sc, sc in each dc and ch 1 space 
       around, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
Rnd 5- Join Color A in any sc with a sc, rice stitch, skip 2 stitches, *sc in next 
       stitch, rice stitch, skip 2 stitches, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, 
       fasten off, sew in ends.

Block if desired. (I lightly pinned out my motifs, sprayed them with water and let them dry over night.)

    1. I'm so sorry it took so long to reply! Can you email me and further explain where you are having trouble? I think I'll be able to email a photo especially if you are having a hard time figuring out where to put the dc into the sc.
