Winking Squid

I've got a lot of catching up to do on sharing some crochet projects! So, I thought I would start here with a project I was pretty excited about because of its creative nature.

This squid started its life as a drawing and he came into being after much trial and error (especially with the triangle shapes). For some unknown reason, he just had to be winking. I don't ask questions; I just go with it.

It's always so satisfying when the finished product looks like how it was imagined before you start. Sometimes projects don't come to fruition because some ideas or shapes are so hard to translate into crochet. When they do, it's always exciting. (And after they do, I always hope that they are cute as well!)
